Jenny Lives
Jenny floated off on a raft at the end of last season and we didn’t know if we’d ever see her again. But she’s back. And apparently the writers have decided to listen to all the Jenny hate mail and make her utterly despicable. She’s rude to Tina, abuses her new assistant and acts like an entitled princess. Unfortunately, her humanity is gone and she’s become a caricature. Ah TV.
Bette & Tina
Then there’s Bette and Tina. Of course the big question is if these two will get back together. My guess is Showtime will make us wait until the end of the season for an answer. But in the meantime, they’re pretending to still be together to get Angelica into the best pre-school. Tina can’t keep her eyes off Bette and Bette sure couldn’t focus when Tina took her top off at the pool. So, yes, there are obviously still sparks between these two, but does that mean they will get back together? What do you think? Add your comments below.Shane & Paige
It seems Shane and Paige are moving in together. No one is happy about this. And you can guess why. Because it doesn’t take Shane but a few minutes to end up naked with the realtor in the empty apartment. Unfortunately, or I guess fortunately, Paige walks in on them.Helena in Jail
What’s that? A butch on The L Word? Oh, she’s Helena’s cellmate. Helena’s in jail for stealing Catherine’s money and it seems no one can get in touch with Mommy to bail her out. The food is jail is absolutely wretched and poor Helena, she actually does look scared.Alice in Lesbo Land
Alice is adding a podcast to Our Chart. Alice in Lesbo Land. I love it! And she’s interviewing Phyllis about what it’s like to come out in midlife. Alice is so incredibly funny. You should see the reaction on her face when Phyllis says their sex is like kindergarten compared to what she and Joyce have. Brilliant!
But, Alice does show a bit of transphobia, saying Our Chart is for lesbians and talking about trans stuff is getting off topic. Max uses the opportunity to inform and his little speech about top surgery is sure to educate the many L Word viewers who don’t have a clue about trans issues.
Jodi & Bette
Jodi has returned and Bette sure is happy to see her. They leave the party and head to her flat, which Bette has fixed up real pretty for her. But what’s that? Jodi’s not pleased. She thinks it’s just Bette’s way of being controlling. She has a remedy for that -- blindfolding Bette and having her way with her. I know what you’re thinking, “Me next, me next!” But from the look on Bette’s face, she’s NOT enjoying this. One point in the Tina column.Wax on Fire
Shane drives furiously to the parking lot of Wax. It’s on fire. Who could have done it? Was it Paige? Will she end up in jail with Helena and will we see a repeat of the Season 1 jail sex scene?Tasha!
And who’s that knocking on Alice’s door? Why it’s Tasha! Tasha, what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be in Iraq? Is she AWOL? Is she kicked out for being a dyke? Bette and Tina should get back together, they’re in love!! Sometimes it takes for people to break up tp appreciate what they have or had! Plus, Jodi is such an asshole at times!
We waited SO patiently for the season opener and WOW was it worth the wait!! Sadly, Jenny is back, and while she is more stunning this season than ever before, her selfish ego makes me want to snatch her by her gorgeous long hair and throw her around the room! Did anyone else feel almost NO chemistry between Bette & Jodi?? Nope, me neither, but I DID feel it between Bette & Tina….there IS hope!! Shane Shane, I saw this one coming. Paige is NOT the girl for her…I said it last season and I’ll say it again, I haven’t seen ANY sexual chemistry between her and ANYONE since Cherie Jaffe!! I predict ALOT of one night stands with her this season!! She looked GREAT and LOVED her hair!! Kit looks good, but no mention of her going to rehab and what happend to Angus? Remember last episode….she went to Angus and asked him for HELP?? I have to say, I really really liked him and was sad to hear he’s not coming back…Papi? See ya!! Never liked her character, it was almost silly, and did the writers REALLY think we would belive that Papi was Tasha’s best friend?? Come on, Tasha is in the service, patriotic, has conservative views and oh yeah, she WORKS for a living!! Yeah, Alice is expanding The Chart by going video and Max is heading that up!! Good choice and yup, I KNEW she wouldn’t have the sex change..after her and ole’ girl got it on last season I knew she’d realize she was comfortable in her own skin. Speaking of the girl, where is she?? Phyllis and Joyce are a riot, I LOVE the fact they are showing women OVER 40 having a great time AND looking hot!! Helena…well, she may be in jail, but she’s NOT gonna “Show us the money” anytime soon!! She’s one smart girl, scared, but smart. I am SURE we’ll get to see some naughty jail sex very soon!! All in all we LOVED it here in our home. This is going to be a great season, as promised! They almost OWE it to us, as the last few seasons got too serious..we want FUN and we want HOT SEX!! Oh, and we want BETTE with TINA!!
OMG..I have watched the first episode of season five and it was H-O-T…First let me say Jodi and Bette..not gonna happen. Bette likes someone she can control and bend to her will. Jodi is not that person. Tina is gonna give Bette a run for her money. Shane is back to her old self. Shane is not meant to be “settled down” she is way too hot to just have one chick. Jenny..what can I say about her..she is a bratty bitch who needs a good dose of reality!! This season is gonna be a killer one!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!
ok, is it just me? if the character of shane was a guy, women everywhere would hate him and think he’s a total d-bag. but if a “hot” lesbian is having sex with everything, it’s ok? not cool. don’t get me wrong, i’m a lesbian and i like tlw and it is just a show but this double-standard thing just bothers me. plus, i really don’t find shane (or rather the woman who plays shane) to be all that good-looking. ok i said it, i know it’s an unpopular opinion but it’s mine. jane lynch is super fun on the show, too bad she probably won’t be around much longer. oh yeah, and jenny is a total bitch! i wish she would have died.
yo this season is going to be great. fuck jenny shes a royal bitch. angus can leave but they didn’t even say what happened to papi. shane…well i think we all expected that. bette and tina need to get back together… you can see they love eachother and they have a kid. my favorite couple alice and tasha i hpe they last. even though they go through a lot they are good for eachother.
This stuff needs to be updated and it way behind. Bette and Tina are getting it on again and bette has yet to break it off with Jodi!!! and i could just Die but alice and tasha seem to be over and done with. The worst thing that ive ever seen from the l word. by far. they should have been destined to supercoupledom, not fizzed out in less than a year???? Hello~!~!
I watched seasons 1-5 all this summer, jumping late onto The L Word bandwagon, and I have to say that I think they could have gone further with the Jodi/Bette storyline. It seems like there’s a big chunk missing between seasons because they show Jodi/Bette and they’re together, but you sense they’re still just getting to know each other yet they’re in a serious relationship…then “poof” there’s the kiss between Jodi and Bette at She Bar….so later there’s cheating, but it comes across that there’s this big serious relationship being broken up between Jodi and Bette, but we haven’t really had any indication that they are this big serious couple and that they belong together at all, yet Jodi is SO torn up over it all. So that is what threw me off, Jodi and Bette were never really that in love in the first place, they were just starting off, and then you wonder why Jodi suddenly acts like they have been married for years or something…so that’s what threw me off.
